Over a month after its release and Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is still one of the most talked-about films around. It gives Cliff some ominous mystique.

Cliff, Brad Pitts character in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, is a likable, confident man who winds up saving the day. Lee is offended by Cliffs derision and they get into a confrontation that leads to a best-of-three sparring match. When the dog attacks Tex it bites him in the right wrist, indicating that it either severely injures it or - at the very least - bites of the shirt around his wrist. The big moment that Quentin Tarantino builds towards at the climax of "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" sees Cliff Booth take on the members of the Manson cult who murdered Sharon Tate and her friends in August 1969.

After the sunset scene on August 8th, Sharon Tate and her friends go to the El Coyote Restaurant, it's nighttime and the narrator says that it's 7:00 p.m. Actually, on that date, twilight in Los Angeles started at 7:47 p.m. Sunset in Los Angeles at 7:00 p.m. doesn't star until mid-September, and civil twilight until early October. Seconds after joking with Tex about his name while Texholds him at gunpoint, Cliff escalates the situation drastically.

The drug seemingly affects his mind in a manner that dulls his senses, so much so that he doesn't even notice when one of the attackers stabs his leg with a knife. While it'scertainly fun to see DiCaprio appear in such a classic film, the comedic beats detract from the emotion of the scene. In the next scene, Cliff tells Tex he once spent two weeks on a chain gang in Texas. In 1960, anyone over the age of ten would know this.

Tarantino uses this moment to show Cliff's near superhuman levels of strength, grit and confidence, but his actions seem a little excessive considering he was the one who intruded upon the property in the first place.

In reality, Hugh Hefner didn't purchase the mansion until 1971, and didn't start living there until 1974, which is when the house's reputation for lavish parties started. One could argue that Tarantino was simply painting a world full of flawed Hollywood types, all of whom have nothing beyond their feeble acting talent, but this moment still feels like one step too far especially since Cliff doesn't appear too bothered by the event over the course of the film.
